Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Lead Present Product Engineer to support gas valve and system component programs for the Chinese market. This role is ideal for an engineer with 8+ years of experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a passion for sustaining and improving product performance. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining lab operations, conducting testing and analysis, supporting agency compliance, and collaborating with cross-regional teams, including travel to the U.S. and TAIGUO.

Key Responsibilities:

·Support gas valve and gas system component programs for the Chinese market.

·Manage the day-to-day operations of the Qingdao engineering lab, including equipment maintenance and calibration.

·Perform product testing and generate detailed technical reports.

·Utilize Minitab for statistical analysis and design of experiments.

·Work with certification agencies such as CGHC during the certification process and certification change process

·Create and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) using Windchill.

·Assist with agency compliance testing and documentation.

·Recommend design improvements based on test results and field feedback.

·Collaborate with VA/VE teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

·Support Present Product Engineering initiatives at the TAIGUO facility as needed.

·Coordinate with a U.S.-based manager; participate in extended training trips to the United States (multiple weeks, several times per year).

·Use Creo for basic CAD tasks—expertise not required but functional familiarity expected.

·Must be able to conduct design of experiment studies and control of variation studies.

·Communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal, with global team members.

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

·Master’s degree is a plus.

·8+ years of relevant experience in product engineering, preferably in gas appliances or systems.
