Job Title: Teaching Assistant 助教
Start Time: ASAP
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in developing and implementing educational plans to achieve curriculum and learning objectives. Deeply understand and adhere to the school’s educational philosophy. Familiarize yourself with the curriculum system to ensure compliance with curriculum guidelines in classroom teaching and management. Create a warm, safe, and positive classroom environment that encourages children to learn and grow.
2. Participate in group activities and provide daily support and teaching under the guidance of the homeroom teacher. Manage time effectively for lesson preparation and teaching to ensure smooth and timely completion of daily tasks.
3. Collaborate with the homeroom teacher to provide diverse and enriching activities aligned with the curriculum, ensuring an encouraging learning atmosphere in the classroom. Support children in developing their unique will. Ensure that each student’s needs are met, making appropriate adjustments to address their learning requirements.
4. Work with the homeroom teacher to observe, assess, and document children’s developmental progress (both social and academic) throughout the year, maintaining an updated growth portfolio for each child.
5. Communicate with parents in a polite and professional manner. Notify the homeroom teacher and request their presence for any serious issues encountered during communication. Assist in developing class plans and reports in accordance with school policies.
6. Prepare all teaching materials and required resources before class, establishing and communicating clear learning objectives for all activities.
7. Assist other teachers in guiding children to follow classroom rules to ensure their safety and maintain classroom order. Teach children the importance of personal hygiene and self-care through daily routines and learning activities. Adhere to school policies and regulations in case of accidents or illnesses in the classroom, immediately notifying the homeroom teacher or grade-level coordinator.
8. Assist in organizing daily activities such as lunch, nap time, and snack distribution for children.
9. Encourage children to behave appropriately in social settings and share with others. Ensure all teachers use consistent methods to teach children the value of sharing.
10. Participate in parent-teacher meetings, representing the school appropriately at all times, and engage in activities as required. Fulfill administrative duties, including attending staff meetings, departmental meetings, and professional development sessions (such as health and safety training, child protection courses).
11. Continuously update knowledge of preschool and elementary education, teaching resources, and methodologies.
12. Perform other tasks assigned by the homeroom teacher or department head.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field
2. With teacher qualification certificates or work experience in international schools/education industry preferred
LANGUAGE
1. Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
WORKING EXPERIENCE
1. Two years or more of teaching experience in charge of a class.
COMPETENCIES
1. Excellent communication skills.
APTITUDES
1. Good teamwork spirit, proactive in work, strong sense of responsibility, and a passion for early childhood education.
