The Production Planning Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager. The responsibilities assigned to the Production Planning Supervisor relate to the management of product production and are as follows:
? Analyze customer orders and enter forecasted orders. Verify stock levels based on customer orders and forecasts and prepare a list of materials needed for production. Manage the item master regarding the configuration of data for production needs.
- For the management of semi-finished products, manage any changes in raw materials and related work cycles, in accordance with specifications, and maintain the bill of materials for the semi-finished products.
? Assign to each production item the respective processing cycle in the system. Carry out production scheduling and launching.
? Determine the loads for each work center.
? Analyze and process production times in order to optimize scheduling.
? Verify the progress of production and update production schedules.
? Ensure the match between physical and management inventory.
? Coordinate the work performed by subcontractors and expedite the delivery of processed products. - Interact with the Purchasing Manager regarding the status of subcontracting in order to provide the necessary information for effective and efficient management of the subcontracting itself.
? Manage the traceability of materials, where required by law or contract.
? Manage the material provided by the customer (raw materials, semi-finished products, standardized products, identification labels).
? Manage standard and ad hoc reporting that supports production planning, and communication to the operation and customer.Is involved with managing budget, goals, and specific requirements of the business.
? Agree with clients on changes to the delivery dates of the commissioned materials based on the client's needs or production requirements.
? Analyze customer orders during the shipping phase to provide the necessary documentation for the products (delivery notes, material certificates, treatment certificates, test certificates, etc.).
